The idea is simple: Let a band’s sound and notation inform layout and texture. An interview conducted with band members of Muse mimics the structure of the band’s songs themselves. The sound is digital, mathematical, and unique.

To replicate this sound in 2D, vertical and horizontal shapes, along with a solid grid, guide the eye through the text to provide meaning in much the same way a Muse track uses musical crescendo to guide the tone of the lyrics.
