Nike Skateboarding: MOCA "Art in the Streets"

Project Overview

Product Design / Retail
Nike Skateboarding collaborated with The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles for the Art In the Streets exhibition, creating a special edition shoe and apparel product drop in partnership with multiple artists. The product launch included a skate event, retail pop-up, and exhibition. As the design lead, I managed the creative process, design, and production of all launch elements. The event featured a skate-able art installation designed by Nike SB team rider Lance Mountain and artist Geoff McFetridge, built by California Skateparks. We also created limited edition Nike SB shoes and t-shirts, with artwork by Lance Mountain, Neckface, Futura, and CR Stecyk III. The shoes, labeled the Paper Dunk High, were custom-made in-house with artwork by Geoff McFetridge. Each shoe was made from an original piece of McFetridge’s artwork, with only 24 unique pairs available shown in a custom retail display case for the exhibition.
